Holiday Student Gift: Personalized with Circuit
This post is sponsored by Circuit.
I have missed my students dearly and knew I wanted to do something during the Holidays to show them I am thinking of them. I used my Circuit Joy to personalize blankets for them. I loved the idea of a blanket because it would keep them warm and comforted over the Holiday Break, but also is something they could bring each day to virtual learning and keep on their laps.
For this project I used:
Circut Smart Iron-On Glitter Red
Circut Smart Iron-On Red
Cricut Easy press
I have previously used my phone and laptop to create design project. This time I decide to give the Circuit Design app a try on my tablet. I enjoyed having a larger touch screen than a phone but more portable sizing than a laptop. I will most likely always use my tablet from now on. I think it would be perfect to keep my Circuit Joy in my classroom and use the Circuit Design App on my school tablet to create classroom decor and items for my students.
This was my easiest project yet! I opened the design app and immediately went to canvas and began typing out my students names. I used Donjuan. I love this font and it is totally my go to. I typed out the students names and then hit “Make It”. Thankfully this time around I remember to set my designs in Mirror mode! So that way they are facing the correct way when I transfer them to blanket.
The Iron on Vinyl makes life so easy because it already includes transfer tape. I used the Circut Weeder to remove the small pieces in-between letters like a and e.
Lastly, I applied the Iron-on Vinyl to the blankets using my Easy Press. I would say that if you plan on making iron items often, this is a MUST have item.
I am thrilled to have created such a meaningful gift for my student! I am looking forward to all the other project possibilities with my Circuit Joy.
Thank you Cricut for sponsoring this post!
